Despite all the cricketing talent South Africa has had over the years, the Proteas have never won the T20 World Cup. Even though they had the likes of AB de Villiers, success in this tournament has eluded them.
Therefore, the South African fans can only hope that their team wins the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022. It is worthwhile analysing whether the Proteas have it in them to lift the cup this time. The South Africa squad for the T2O World Cup has been going through a transition phase for a while now.

The South Africa squad for the T20 World Cup has some talented batters in its lineup from a T20 perspective, including Bavuma, de Kock, Markram, and Miller, with a batting average of 27.8, 33.8, 39.2, and 31.9, respectively.
