There are 16 teams playing the ICC Men’s 2022 T20 world cup, with 15 spots available and there are 86 teams in the race – with host Australia already securing their spot. Among the 16 teams, the top 12 teams from the 2021 T20 world cup are automatically qualified for the T20 world cup 2022. Rest 4 teams will be qualified from the qualifier matches and ICC tournament throughout the year. Each team will play the others in their group once, and the top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals.
