Yuzvendra Chahal IPL journey started in 2011 with Mumbai Indians, however, he played only one match. His ideal IPL innings started with Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2014. In 2018, he became the leading wicket taker for the Bangalore franchise. He also became a contender for the ‘ emergence player of the year’ along with Axar Patel. Chahal has since become the backbone of Royal Challengers Bangalore's leg-spin attack. Although he doesn't have a deceptive googly, he makes up for it with his slithery bowling along with accurate line and length. He is one of the few spin bowlers who doesn't mind luring the batters with the flight. Several of Chahal's wickets have come with the batters trying to clear the fence. His success in the T20 format of cricket owes a lot to Virat Kohli's first-hand mentoring made Chahal a strong player in his team.
